Throughout our country's evolution, the people have fought for their beliefs and still continue to do so today. Many of the pioneers of these movements were students, much like you. Therefore, what are the issues today that you are personally passionate about? What is the issue?

I'm not passionate about anything but basketball. Everything else sucks and I don't really care about it because its a waste of my time. :-)

DeleteThe main thing I'm passionate about getting good grades and passing. There is no issue I just have to do what I have to do to achieve this.
ReplyDeleteSo you're saying that you have no obstacles in your way at all preventing you from achieving your goal? No issues at all for what you are passionate about?
DeleteI am mostly passionate about being successful for the future. The only issue is other people doubting me and telling me I can't do something. But other than that I stay positive and focus on accomplishing my goals and there's no other issue with that.

DeleteOne issue that I am personally passionate about is how disrespectful certain people are towards others with disabilities.

Being somebody who is friends with a person who has a mental disability, it bothers me when people say that this disability is nothing. Just because they aren't in the special needs classes doesn't mean they still don't have a learning disability, but people still make fun of them for it and talk about it behind their back like it's nothing and that this person is just acting. It's extremely irritating.

DeleteIt is very bothersome to see those with disabilities get treated with disrespect because of their actions. People with disabilities don't know any better so why disrespect them, when we can help and respect them?
DeleteSomething I'm passionate about is how out of control feminism has gotten to since it began. There are feminist extremists who still believe there's a wage gap between men and women, that women are still treated like garbage, and that every man is going to try to take advantage of them. No, that's not how today is. In our country at least, people are treated fairly equally regardless of gender. First and second wave feminism were great, but third wave (modern day) feminism has the tendency to get out of hand sometimes.
ReplyDeleteWow.. So true too. I think have misunderstood the struggles for women's rights to be an issue of equal worth today.. It isn't.. Honestly, those fighting are not dealing with the same time period and battles those women in the early part of our century had endure. It was certainly worht the fights then, but now, it almost does seem foolish. I am sure there are isolated issues that will present themselves, much like racism, but as a country, it isn't a national battle anymore.. And yes, at times, I am really questioning "what else do you want"? anymore?
